Q: Does the Tour start on the hour? Or as you arrive?A: When you arrive, if a tour has just started, we will have you look at the Elk first (self guided) then meet us in the Cabin when the next tour is about to start. It takes a few minutes for us to gather everyone and wrap up the previous tour. If you have a wait time, we have a video of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe playing from his visit to our farm for you to enjoy and information signs to read, but you shouldn't expect a long wait.
A: You are coming to a farm, and you will be walking in their pen. On a rainy day, or day after rainy days the pen can get a bit messy. We have mud boots of different sizes for most people, but if you want to wear your own boots, GREAT! Most days you don't need to have rain boots, but high heeled shoes aren't always the best selection.
A: There are 6 picnic tables, and they are free for anyone to use.
A: We opened a snack shack this year. It just has water, soda, chips, candy bars, and trail mix. So snacks, but not really a full meal.
A: Yes, You will either begin or end (depending upon your arrival time) with the Elk. This is the self guided tour. With some quick instruction about what to do and not to do, you will walk a short distance to the Elk pen to feed grass to the Elk. The Reindeer tour is a very short walk to the Cabin, which information will be given about the animals, along with pen rules. Then a tour guide will assist you into the pen with the Deer. On occasion they are out in the field, which is a longer walk. If you struggle with walking, please let your guide know and they will be able to bring a Reindeer right to you! The Bison and Moose pens, are very close to the entrance of the Deck, located in the reindeer pen.
A: Most people spend an hour, between doing the tour and enjoying the sights. However, you are welcome to take your time, have a picnic lunch, and even climb the Butte. We have a Scavenger Hunt on our side of the Butte, which typically takes and hour or more. If you choose to do a horseback ride, that is an hour or more as well. So plan to come spend the day with us!

Q: Can we just come look without taking the tour?
A: You are welcome to view the animals from the road for free. We keep it open for that purpose. If you come in our driveway please plan to pay. By paying admission you are helping pay for the animals food. We have staffing and many other expenses to keep this farm open. Please support your local business and pay admission to come in a view our animals up close.
