BOOK A BACKYARD TOUR NOW FOR BEST PRICING

You guys! The time to book a Backyard Tour is NOW. After Mother’s Day, the price is going up. To get in on the introductory price you have to grab your tour tickets now. You can take your tour any time later this summer but buying them in advance locks in the low price. When you book a Backyard Tour you are getting a super sneak peek at farm life beyond the tour, in a small group setting. First of all you’re getting a tour by an owner of the farm which means the history of the farm is yours for the asking. You’ll also discover what goes into running a farm in Alaska. Want to bottle feed a baby reindeer? April AND May will be part of the tour and bottle feeding will be YOUR JOB! Love Rocky the Moose?…

WHAT’S NEW AT THE REINDEER FARM?

As most of you know we’ve been closed all of April. We give our new moms and their babies time to bond before we open the doors on the summer season. Plus April on a farm in Alaska is a mucky mess. May is quickly approaching and with it our 2018 Summer Season. I know what you’re thinking, it’s too early to book a tour. But guess what?? It isn’t too early! In fact, it’s the perfect time to secure your tour time slot before the rush. You can purchase your tours ahead of time on our handy online ticketing system and save yourself any last minute worries about missing out on a tour. We have some changes coming to the tour itself as well. Why change something that works so well? Only to make it better, I promise! All tours will still…

LAST TOURS UNITL MAY OF 2018

Hello, Friends of the Reindeer Farm! We’re expecting babies any day now. Follow us on Facebook if you’d like updates on Baby Watch 2018. We’ll be sharing there often as babies come along. Join us! For now, we’ve got just a few tour dates left until we close for the month of April. You can find those final tours in our online reservation system if you’re interested. They’re filling up fast so get in if you want in. We close so that we can concentrate on our new moms and their babies. We like to focus on them, make sure everyone is safe, comfortable and happy before we host tours again. Plus it’s a breakup in Alaska and it’s just a muddy time to be on a farm. Especially a farm at the foot of the Butte, we get a lot of runoff. We…

FALL FESTIVAL TIPS!

Growing up on the Farm, I married and moved away! During our time away, my family and I experienced Pumpkin patches and corn mazes for the first time. Tips! #1  Dress for the weather! This is an outdoor event! #2 Dress for a Farm! You might get dirty, plan on it! #3 Bring your camera/phone charged and with lots of memory available. So many photo ops! #4 Bring cash! A lot of things take cash or credit, but there are a few vendors that take cash only, like food or family photos. #5 If pumpkins are important to you.
